How it works
Our system uses a smart process called COALESCENCE. This means the special OleoClear material we use doesn't like oil at all, making oil droplets come together in tiny spaces and capturing any solid bits (TSS) along with them.
When does it work best?
It's most effective when the oil mixed in the water is not too heavy, specifically when its API (a way to measure oil's weight) is below 45 (>800 kg/m3).
What can OleoClear do?
- For oil and solid bits (TSS) levels between 1-300 parts per million (ppm): It can remove more than 99% of both.
- For levels between 300-700 ppm: It still removes 99% of both oil and TSS.
- For higher levels between 700-3000 ppm: It can handle these bigger amounts pretty well by just shortening the filter's cleaning cycle a bit. More oil doesn't hurt the system, but we might need to speed up the cleaning process to keep things running smoothly.
